There are metals that can enter anyone's system over time through food, water, industrial chemicals, or other sources. As a metalsmith, I am often worried about inhaling, or absorbing, some of the chemicals and metals I use through the various processes of electroforming, torching, 'pickling', and oxidizing. Keep in mind some metals are good for our bodies. While our bodies need small amounts of some heavy metals — such as zinc, copper, chromium, iron, and manganese — toxic amounts are harmful.
Although I use ventilation, have fans, and wear a mask- taking appropriate safety measures while I work, I have felt a bit sluggish recently so I wanted to try this out!
- 2 beets
- 1 med. chunk of Ginger
- 3 stalks of celery (chopped)
- 1 cucumber
- 1/2 lime
- 1/2 bunch of parsley
- 1/2 bunch of cilantro
- 4 cups kale (chopped)
Use when possible!!!
Add all ingredients to juicer and enjoy!
Beets are amazing at cleansing the liver. Celery is a great alkaline food that is high in electrolytes. Kale contains fiber, antioxidants, calcium, and vitamin K, among others. Parsley is a nutritional powerhouse with vitamins A, B, C and K and the minerals iron and potassium. Cilantro is a good source of antioxidants!
I was a little skeptical about the parsley and cilantro. However, they didn't dominate the over all flavor. If you're a small biz entrepreneur like me then you probably cannot afford a $300 juicer. Don't worry there are options out there! Peep my Amazon choice and what I have been using!
The juice was powerful! It had a strong beet and celery flavor. Although it wasn't my favorite taste, it was delicious. Enjoy!
Danae PS Here is the recipe I am going to try next from the Medical Medium that is more like a smoothie!!
